DAR ES SALAAM: THE National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has reaffirmed its dedication to fostering business growth and investment by providing high-quality financial services, including loans and transactions for businesses and investors operating in the modern commercial properties of the National Housing Corporation (NHC).
Making the revelation in Dar es Salaam over the weekend, the bank’s Head of Transaction Banking Mr Mangire Kibanda, during a brief ceremony marking the preliminary launch of the new Morocco Square Mall, situated at the intersection of Mwai Kibaki and New Bagamoyo Roads, over the weekend said that: “This partnership underscores our intention to collaborate with these businesses and is in line with NBC’s strategic focus on promoting the use of digital banking services among our clients, particularly during this festive season leading up to Eid el Fitr and Easter,”
The event that coincided with the signing of a partnership agreement between NBC and Hope Holding Company, manages popular retail stores such as Skechers, Flormar, Bottega Verde, DeFacto, and LC WaIKIKI within the Morocco Square Mall.
He noted that the collaboration is designed to offer a discount of up to 20 per cent to customers who purchase items from the stores and make payments using NBC Visa debit cards, in celebration of the upcoming Eid el Fitr and Easter holidays.
During the ceremony, NHC Director of Property Management Mr Elias Msese expressed his gratitude to President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her instrumental role in successfully advancing this project, which had previously encountered delays.

He announced that the project is now 100 per cent complete and reiterated the corporation’s commitment to creating more opportunities for businesses and investors through modern building services, ensuring they operate in an environment that is both accessible and conducive to customer engagement.
“We are able to achieve all this with robust support from President Samia and other senior government and NHC officials. Every aspect of this new building is fully prepared-from leasing processes to the diverse types of businesses it houses, including offices offering a variety of services, residential and commercial facilities, and hotels. We warmly invite the public to come and see for themselves,” he pointed out.
In discussing their partnership with NBC, Hope Holding’s Marketing Manager Mr Micky Decha expressed gratitude to the bank for its collaboration, highlighting the significant benefit of the 20 per cent discount for their customers.
He commended NBC’s initiatives to promote digital transactions, noting that this approach is safer and more convenient for customers while assisting businesses in maintaining accurate payment records.
