Musoma Rural focuses on science education development

MUSOMA: Musoma Rural Constituency is taking active steps to improve education in the region, particularly in the fields of science and technology, with the aim of nurturing future experts in these areas.

According to Professor Sospeter Muhongo, the Member of Parliament for Musoma Rural, the constituency is currently implementing a project to construct science laboratories in every secondary school. These laboratories will be dedicated to three core subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

In addition to this initiative, plans are underway to establish more high schools focused solely on science education.

“The foundation for future specialists in science begins with education at the primary level and continues through to advanced-level studies,” said Professor Muhongo.

“Musoma Rural is committed to executing various projects that will contribute to producing the scientists of tomorrow,” the renowned geologist stressed.

The former cabinet minister also revealed that Kwila Secondary School is in the process of acquiring three science laboratories.

Furthermore, he noted that, two new schools; Suguti and Mugango High Schools—will focus exclusively on science combinations and are scheduled to open this July.

The MP called on development partners to continue supporting the establishment of science laboratories in all schools across the constituency that have yet to receive them.
