He emphasized that the purpose of the park is to bridge the gap in access to quality STEM education, equipping young learners with the skills they need for future careers in the workforce.

“This project aims to provide essential STEM skills, fostering innovation and creativity among the youth, which will contribute to the nation’s development,” Professor Mkenda stated.

He also highlighted the significant support the project is expected to garner from Members of Parliament and government officials, whose involvement will help ensure its success.

Professor Mkenda also urged institutions involved in STEM education to seize the opportunity to support the transformation of STEM education in the country.

Lwidiko Mhamilawa, the Co-Founder of Projeckt Inspire, shared that the organization, in partnership with other stakeholders, successfully organized a STEM boot camp at Mtakuja in Shule ya Magomeni, where over 700 students benefited.

These students gained valuable exposure to the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, furthering Projeckt Inspire’s mission of empowering young people with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in a technology-driven world.

“Projeckt Inspire is committed to expanding its outreach, with plans to reach more students in different regions and offer a wider range of STEM programs,” he said

He stated that the goal is to inspire the next generation of innovators, engineers, and leaders, preparing them to meet the challenges of the global economy.

One of the beneficiaries of Projeckt Inspire’s programs, Innocent Simon, an Assistant Instructor in STEM, shared his personal success story. He encouraged young people to engage in STEM education to take advantage of the vast opportunities the field offers.

“Thanks to Projeckt Inspire, I attended the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th boot camps, and I had the chance to participate in an international program in London, and from there I received a scholarship in Electrical Engineering. I therefore urge other young people to get involved in STEM studies because of the numerous available opportunities,” Simon said.
