MOI to provide cheap specialist services at Sabasaba Exhibition

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Muhimbili Institute of Orthopedics and Neurology (MOI) said it will hold a special clinic for specialist services in bones, brain, spine and nerves at the 49th International Trade Fair known as Sabasaba at affordable prices.
The special clinic will run from tomorrow, May 28, to July 13, 2025, at Pavilion Number 12 at the Sabasaba grounds in Dar es Salaam.
Speaking to journalists today, MOI Public Relations Manager, Patrick Mvungi, said the cost of seeing a specialist doctor will be 5,000/- and an ultrasound scan will be 10,000/-.

“Tanzanian citizens will be served at our pavilion, unlike other years when we were showcasing our services at MOI, we have seen it fit to move our services to the citizens,” he explained.
Mvungi added that in the past they were able to serve between 1000 to 1500 people, so at this time they expect to serve more than 2000 people.
For his part, MOI’s orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Tumaini Minja, said the services to be provided include exercise therapy and education on healthy lifestyles to avoid severe back pain, which is a challenge for many people.
