MNH, telecom firm partner for specialist care provision

TANGA: KOROGWE District Commissioner, Mr William Mwakilema has lauded the National Muhimbili Hospital (MNH) and the Vodacom Tanzania Foundation for collaborating in providing free specialist medical service to Tanga’s residents.

MNH specialist doctors recently camped at the Korogwe Teachers’ College’s grounds to offer to the public.

“I commend Muhimbili National Hospital and the Vodacom Foundation Tanzania for their continued support in enhancing healthcare services. Your proven track record in delivering specialist care has earned the trust of citizens, which is why so many turned out in large numbers,” said Mr Mwakilema during a recent MNH outreach programme.

In that regard, he said the government was committed to keep on investing in the health sector which is key to accelerating socio-economic development across the country.

MNH Pediatrician Dr Aika Shoo stated that the specialist medical team was well-prepared to ensure that everyone visiting the camp received high-quality services free of charge. She called on more Tanga residents to show up and effectively utilise the opportunity.
