Maritime Police College honours the Women’s Day humanitarian aids

MWANZA: THE Tanzania Maritime Police College has continued engaging with the community as part of activities to mark International Women’s Day, reflecting the institution’s commitment to solidarity and care for various groups in society.
In a recent event, the Chairperson of the Women Police Network (TPF-net) at the Maritime Police College, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kagemulo Muhula, led members of the network to visit children with special needs at Huruma Center in Ilemela District, Mwanza.
ASP Muhula explained that the visit aimed to comfort the children and demonstrate the college’s solidarity with the community. During the visit, the women police network donated various items, including food, educational supplies, and clothing, to support the children’s daily needs.

He also emphasized that these efforts are part of preparations for International Women’s Day celebrations, where the children will have the opportunity to participate in activities and enjoy the occasion alongside other members of the public.
This year’s International Women’s Day celebrations are guided by the theme: “Rights and Equality for Women and Girls as a Foundation for Inclusive Development Towards the National Vision 2050.”
