Lina PG Tour Final Series tee off today

DAR ES SALAAM: THE highly anticipated Lina Professional Golfers (PG) Tour Pro-Am final series tees off today at the Dar es Salaam Gymkhana Club (DGC), situated near the Indian Ocean in Dar es Salaam.

The event brings together both professional and elite amateur golfers from across Tanzania, showcasing their skills in a thrilling display of talent.

Organised by the Said Nkya family in collaboration with the Tanzania Ladies Golf Union (TLGU), Tanzania Professional Golfers Association (TPGA) and Penda Golf Tanzania, the 72-hole tournament was originally scheduled for last month at the same venue.

It aims to foster sportsmanship while providing local golfers with a platform to hone their skills and prepare for international competitions.

Director of the Lina PG Tour, Yasmin Chali confirmed yesterday that all preparations are complete for the four-day event to begin.

The tournament, dubbed ‘The Road to Dubai,’ is the final stage of a five-series competition. The top three professionals will earn a spot to compete in an international tournament in Dubai, adding extra excitement to the final showdown.
