Students have been encouraged to learn a variety of languages for them to easily conquer global opportunities.
France ambassador to Tanzania, Mr. Nabil Hajlaoui made the remarks at an official inauguration of a new campus at French International School of Dar es Salaam on Tuesday.
He said that students enrolled at the school will be exposed to multiple languages like Kiswahili, French, English, Japanese, German, Spanish and Italian.
Again, Mr Hajlaoui insisted that French investment in Tanzania’s education sector is a part and parcel of meeting demands of President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s mission to improve it.
“We have a big number of Tanzanian students at our school plus those coming from 40 nationalities and this shows that we are reaching out to most of the Tanzania community,” said him.
On her part, French International School Principal Mrs Caroline Martias appreciated progress being recorded at the school for less than four years she has been there.
“Despite adversity, the school has been able to bounce back, structure itself and modernise in order to develop and continue to progress.
“This is reflected in the investments made by the management to expand its premises so as to accommodate our growing number of students,” she said.
Also, Regional Academic Officer in Dar es Salaam Mrs Eva Mosha lauded what the French government is doing in her efforts to scale up education in the nation.
