Kibaha to host 550 exhibitors at Business Industrial Week

COAST REGION: THE five-day Business Industrial Week, set to take place in Kibaha Township, Coast Region, is expected to draw around 550 participants from across the country.

The fourth edition of the event, to start at the third Monday of this month, aims to provide a platform for business and industrial stakeholders to explore opportunities, share insights and foster growth in various sectors.

Regional Commissioner Mr Abubakar Kunenge said they expected some 20,000 individuals to visit the exhibitions and preparations for the forthcoming exhibitions are going on well.

“We all know that the government is promoting the private sector regionally and nationally and this is the chance for Coast to showcase its industrial prowess,” the RC told reporters recently.

Currently, the RC said, the region is housing 1, 553 factories of which 78 are heavy industries.

The exhibition participants included small to large-scale business owners, government and private sector agencies, as well as entrepreneurs from across the country.

Also, the organising committee has arranged a business conference during the exhibitions which is estimated to bring together about 400 participants.

“We expect to use this conference to gain advice and expertise from various business professionals. Entrepreneurs from all sectors of production will be represented,” Mr Kunenge said.
