Kenyan Supreme Court receives 45 ballot boxes for vote recount

Supreme Court officials on Wednesday received at least 45 ballot boxes from polling stations where the court ordered a recount, the Star has reported.

A contingent of officers from GSU and regular police were deployed at Milimani law courts to ensure the exercise runs smoothly.

The media was asked to step aside as they set ground rules ahead of the vote recount.

A room was cleared in a bid to admit the agents that will be present for the exercise.

A seven-judge bench led by Chief Justice Martha Koome on Tuesday ordered  IEBC officials to present ballots prom 15 polling stations for a recount.
