Kagera Sugar’s Abraham claims ready to leave

KAGERA Sugar striker Meshack Abraham whose contract expired at the end of 2022/2023 season, said he is set for a new challenge.

The player confirmed have received offers from various clubs. Speaking in an exclusive interview yesterday, Abraham said he is ready to work with any team that will need his services.

He has also confirmed that Kagera Sugar’s technical bench has yet to decide on his fate as it is assessing him to see if he deserves to remain in the club.

Abraham, the former Mbeya Kwanza player, joined Kagera Sugar in the 2020/2021 season. He thanked their technical bench under Head Coach Mecky Mexime for giving him playing time, something he said helped him to receive many offers.

“I have already received various offers from five Premier League teams, but I have left the task of dealing with the matter to my management and I have faith in my current employers,’’ he said.

Adding, he said during his stint with Kagera Sugar, he has managed to score four goals and provide three assists.

“Five teams have shown interest in me, but the other teams seemed to look for my signature. I have left everything to my manager to handle the matter,” he said.

Commenting about his season, He said the season was very difficult due to each team working very hard to make sure they stay in the league.

He thanked the Kagera Sugar diehard fans and club management for supporting their team and helping them to finish eleventh in the premier league after gathering 35 points from 30 outings. Kagera Sugar have scored 23 and conceded 36 goals. They have  won nine, drawn eight and lost thirteen matches.
