Technical-level discussions are expected to lay the groundwork for decisions to be made during upcoming meetings of senior officials, followed by a ministerial session that will conclude the JPC meeting on March 13, 2026.

Through this strategic cooperation framework, Tanzania and Uganda aim to expand trade and investment opportunities, strengthen their long-standing diplomatic relations, and promote both national and regional development.

Representatives from various ministries, institutions, and government departments of Tanzania and Uganda are participating in the meeting to review the implementation of agreements reached during the Fourth JPC held in 2022, while also establishing new resolutions to guide future cooperation.
