JKCI Chairman, Prof Mahalu is dead

Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) Board of Trustees Chairman, Prof William Mahalu has died in Dar es Salaam aged 79.

Information released by the Institute Executive Director, Dr Peter Kisenge on Monday said that Prof Mahalu passed away on Sunday night at JKCI where he was undergoing treatment.

Prof Mahalu who was a Cardiothoracic Surgeon, was appointed to the position by the late President, John Magufuli.
