IGP promotes three Police officers to the SACP rank

DODOMA: THE Inspector General of Police (IGP) in Tanzania, Camillus Wambura today, July 1, 2025, officially promoted three officers to the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police (SACP) from their previous rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).

The promoted officers include the Head of the Marine Police Unit, ACP Moshi Nsabi Sokoro; the Head of the Police Vehicle Maintenance Unit, ACP Tuntufye Absalome Mwakagamba; and the Head of the Police Band Unit, ACP Msolo Hamis Msolo.

The promotions were made following a directive from the President of the United Republic of Tanzania and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Samia Suluhu Hassan, who approved the rank advancements today, July 1, 2025.

The promotion ceremony took place at the Tanzania Police Force Headquarters and served as a recognition and appreciation of the officers’ dedication, leadership, and service within the Tanzania Police Force.
