Tanzania recruits 3,380 new Police officers

DODOMA: THE Tanzania Police Force has announced that a total of 3,380 newly selected recruits comprising 2,997 from Tanzania Mainland and 383 from Zanzibar are expected to report for police training at the Moshi Police School beginning June 12, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Inspector General of Police, the comprehensive list of successful candidates is available on the official Police Force recruitment website.
The statement stated that those who underwent the recruitment process in Dar es Salaam, specifically within units under the Police Headquarters, are required to report to the parade ground in Dar es Salaam on June 12, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. for transportation to Moshi.
Meanwhile, candidates from other Mainland regions should report to their respective Regional Police Commanders on June 11, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
Those from Zanzibar (Unguja and Pemba) must report to the Zanzibar Police Headquarters in Ziwani at the same time and date for travel arrangements.
The statement explained that all selected candidates must report to the training school with essential personal items.

These include a track suit, white mosquito net, two light blue bedsheets, one blanket, a charcoal iron, plastic cup, and personal hygiene items.
In addition, trainees must carry their National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) card, original academic certificates, original birth certificate, and either a National ID card (NIDA) or their NIDA number.
They are also required to submit copies of NIDA IDs or identification numbers for both parents or close relatives (such as father, mother, uncles, aunts, grandparents, etc.), six passport-size photos and money for upkeep.
Furthermore the stamen noted that, Mobile phones are strictly prohibited at the training school.
“Anyone reporting to Moshi Police School with a mobile phone will be considered to have breached discipline and will be immediately dismissed from training,” the statement warned.
The Police Force has also emphasized that anyone who fails to report by June 14, 2025, will not be admitted and will be considered to have voluntarily withdrawn from training.
