Huaxin Cement launches Newta to transform construction sector in Tanzania

DAR ES SALAAM: Maweni Limestone Limited-Tanzania, which is part of the Huaxin Group, has made another first by launching a new brand known as Newta that is set to transform the construction industry.

This comes at a time when Tanzania is experiencing a lot of construction projects all over the country, which require quality products like Newta.

Speaking during the colourful launch event in Dar es Salaam, the Huaxin Group Vice President, Mr. Wang Jiajun said they conducted intensive research before coming up with Newta to ensure that it fulfills the desired output.

“We have brought to you a high quality product that is easy to use even by local fundis who have just joined the industry as it has a good texture that gives you a good finishing of your project,” he noted.

Mr. Jiajun further explained that Newta wall putty will save contractors and site owners a lot of time and money since when applied it dries fast and enables other finishing work like painting to progress in good time as compared to other products that take a long time to dry up.

The Huaxin Vice President appealed to agents who attended the launch to explore the product and get the new experience that Newta wall putty comes with. “It is pure and white in colour hence very attractive when applied on walls,” he said.

The wall putty, he said, is produced at their Mkuranga plant in Coast region alongside other products produced by the giant company adding that it will be available all over the country as they are able to transport it anywhere.

“We have confidence in this product and know that Tanzanians will receive it well and appreciate the results,” he explained.

He also extended gratitude to the government led by Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan for putting in place a favorable climate for investment hence attracting more investors.

“The government is doing everything possible to ensure the business community is comfortable and it is out of this that we as one of the biggest cement producers in the world agreed to invest in Tanzania by acquiring MLL Tanga and Mkuranga factory,” he said.

The event was also attended by the Markerting Director of Maweni Limestone Ltd, Louis Liu, the Huaxin Group Head of Global Brand Marketing, Jessica Ma, agents, government officials and other stakeholders within the construction sector.

Huaxin Cement MLL-Tanzania, which started operations in Tanzania in 2019, is a subsidiary of Huaxin Group, a leading construction material producer from China, which operates in over 18 countries with over 300 subsidiaries worldwide and was founded in 1907.
