Fast-track land allocation, RC says
DODOMA: DODOMA Regional Commissioner Rosemary Senyamule has directed the Dodoma City Director and all district council directors in the region to fast-track land allocation processes, saying timely access to land is essential for attracting investment and accelerating economic growth.
She said councils must improve the delivery of land related services to create a conducive environment for investors and wananchi seeking land for development.
Speaking on Wednesday during the launch of the offices of Landmax Real Estate Company Limited in Dodoma, Ms Senyamule said the private sector remains a key partner in the country’s development agenda and should be supported through efficient land administration.
She said Tanzania’s Development Vision 2050 envisages the private sector contributing 70 per cent of the economy, while the public sector accounts for the remaining 30 per cent, making close collaboration between government institutions and private investors essential.
“We must ensure investors and citizens have access to land and related services without unnecessary delays,” she said.
The Regional Commissioner said Dodoma’s land continues to appreciate rapidly due to the city’s expansion, population growth and the increasing number of investors relocating to the country’s capital.

“Unlike many other areas where land values remain unchanged for years, Dodoma has witnessed a sharp rise in land value because of growing demand for housing and investment opportunities,” she said.
Ms Senyamule commended Landmax Real Estate Company Limited for investing in the real estate sector and building its business on trust and professionalism, saying such an approach would help restore public confidence and reduce land-related fraud.
She further urged local authorities across the region to match the pace of development by strengthening land administration and supporting investment initiatives.
Earlier, Landmax Real Estate Company Limited Managing Director and Mbozi Member of Parliament Onesmo Mnkondya said the company was established to connect wananchi with opportunities in land ownership, real estate and investment.
He said many citizens still face challenges in accessing secure land and reliable professional services despite land remaining a vital resource for housing, business and community development.
Landmax Ambassador and Kigoma Urban Member of Parliament Clayton Chipando, popularly known as Baba Levo, said the company’s presence would help curb fraud in land and property transactions.
He called on land brokers to work with the company to ensure transactions are conducted transparently, securely and after proper verification of ownership documents, saying such cooperation would help reduce land disputes and protect citizens from fraudulent dealings.
