Emanuel claims Ace Golf Tournament title at Lugalo

DAR ES SALAAM: TPDF Lugalo Golf Club witnessed thrilling action on Eid al-Adha as Prosper Emanuel emerged victorious in The Ace Golf Tournament following an impressive performance in Wednesday’s grand finale.
Emanuel carded a remarkable three-over-par 75 gross in the par-72, 18-hole showdown to secure the title ahead of seven other finalists who successfully made the cut to the championship stage of the prestigious youth tournament.
The tournament, which attracted some of the club’s most promising youth golfers, featured a total prize purse of 3mil/-. According to the final standings released after the qualifying rounds, Baraka Samwel finished second with a score of +6 (78), while Michael Richard claimed third place at +7 (79).
Michael Nobert and Gerald Gadiel both posted +8 (80), as Ibrahim Likuli and Julius James finished at +10 (82). Godfrey Abel rounded off the top eight after returning +12 (84) gross. For his victory, Emanuel pocketed 1.5mil/-, while runner-up Samwel received 500,000/-.

Third-placed Richard earned 300,000/-, with the remaining five finalists each taking home 100,000/-. Speaking after the tournament, Club Vice Captain Samuel Mosha congratulated all players who reached the final round and commended participants for displaying determination, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
“After the completion of the qualifying rounds to determine the top eight players, the finalists successfully made the cut and competed for the grand prize of 3mil/-,” said Mosha.
He also thanked club members and tournament supporters for their continued commitment to promoting youth golf development both within the club and across Tanzania. Special appreciation was extended to John Kinabo, George Kivaria, Mabenga Semkoko, Kennedy Kajuna, and other stakeholders whose dedication contributed to the successful organisation of the event.
The Eid al-Adha finale attracted golf enthusiasts, sports stakeholders, and supporters eager to witness the next generation of golfing talent battle for top honours at Lugalo.
