Dr Mwinyi calls for stronger ties between SMZ, Union government, private sector to attain Vision 2050 goals

DAR ES SALAAM: ZANZIBAR President, Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has called for stronger cooperation between Zanzibar government, the Union Government, the private sector and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of Tanzania Development Vision 2050.
Speaking during a special dialogue between the government and private sector on the implementation of Vision 2050, Dr Mwinyi said close collaboration among key players would be essential in achieving the country’s long-term development goals for the benefit of all Tanzanians.
According to the President, the partnership should focus on strategic areas that promote economic growth, create employment opportunities and improve social services through effective policies and productive development programmes.
Additionally, Dr Mwinyi said the Isle’s government would continue working closely with the Union government to ensure that the objectives of Vision 2050 are realised.

Moreover, Dr Mwinyi urged private sector players and other institutions to embrace modern technologies, increase productivity and strengthen public-private partnerships as part of efforts to accelerate implementation of the development blueprint.
The Zanzibar President stressed that achieving Vision 2050 requires the participation of all stakeholders, adding that the government would continue creating a conducive environment to promote investment, innovation and sustainable development.
