DAR ES SALAAM: THE Ministry of Energy in collaboration with Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) have teamed up to run a three-day innovative camp in Dar es Salaam with the aim of boosting clean energy.
The initiative has been designed to elevate skills, knowledge and awareness to clean cooking innovators who have a unique interest in advancing the market for cooking technologies, appliances, financing and behavioral change.

It is tailored to clean cooking products, and behavioral change strategies that encourage the adoption of these solutions at scale.
Speaking at the Innovation booth camp, Ngereja Mgejwa, Chairperson, National Technical Committee on Access to Clean Cooking, shared the government’s plans through the National Clean Cooking Strategy.
Mgenjwa addressed barriers related to affordability, availability, and behavioral shifts to expand clean cooking adoption in Tanzania.
