Dareva league returns this Saturday with key fixtures

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Dar es Salaam Regional Volleyball Association (DAREVA) League 2025 Serie B and A both men and women’s action is set to continue today, at the Kampala International University of Tanzania (KIUT) grounds in Dar es Salaam.

The day will be coloured, with critical men’s Serie B matches that could influence the standings significantly.

According to the DAREVA fixture the early game sees Serie B men’s fifth-placed Girrafe take on thirdplaced Best Six.

Girrafe, currently with 24 points from 13 matches, will be looking to close the gap on their opponents who sit six points above them with 32 points from 14 games.

This match is expected to be a tightly contested battle as both teams aim to secure playoff positions. In the second game of the day, Kigamboni, currently on eighth place with eight points, face TCTA, who are just one spot below them with seven points.

With both teams struggling to climb out of the lower half of the standings, this clash offers a chance for redemption and momentum heading into the final phase of the season.

The headline fixture of the day will be between fourth-placed TPDC and the current league leaders IP Sport.

TPDC has earned 25 points from 13 games, while IP Sport leads the standings with 38 points and an impressive record of 13 wins from 14 matches.

A win for TPDC would reinvigorate their title hopes, while IP Sport will look to extend their dominance and stay firmly at the summit of the 10-team battle.

Sixth-placed Wazo, with 12 points, will face seventh-placed Twalipo, who trail by just a single point, in a tight contest.

Also on today’s Women’s Serie B schedule, Tai will go head-to-head with TPDC, while JKT takes on Star Girls in what promises to be an actionpacked day of competition.

In the women’s Serie A, Bandari face off against Tanzania Prisons in a high-stake encounter.
