Dar City hit century mark as BD League heats up

DAR ES SALAAM: DEFENDING Champions, Dar City, produced a standout performance of the weekend after overpowering UDSM Outsiders 104-50 as the BD League 2026 continued with an entertaining round of matches at Don Bosco Upanga.

Dar City became the only men’s side to surpass the 100-point mark during the latest fixtures, underlining their attacking strength and title credentials with the biggest victory of the round.

The champions took control from the opening quarter and never allowed UDSM Outsiders back into the contest, dominating both offensively and defensively on their way to a commanding 54-point triumph.

Elsewhere, Pazi maintained unbeaten run in the men’s category with a convincing 71-50 victory over Magone BC to register a sixth consecutive win.

Pazi relied on disciplined defending and efficient scoring to gradually pull away from their opponents and continue their strong start to the campaign. The victory further strengthened their push near the top of the 16-team standings.

Stein Warriors also impressed after cruising to a 82- 54 win over Mchenga BS. A balanced attacking display and consistent defensive pressure enabled the Warriors to stay in control throughout the encounter and secure another important victory.

In the women’s category, Ukonga Queens extended their fine form with a 72-48 victory against Polisi. Their organised defensive approach limited Polisi’s scoring chances and helped maintain a comfortable lead for most of the game.

Tausi Royals also delivered one of the most dominant displays of the round after brushing aside Pazi Queens 82-48. Their control on both ends of the court ensured they remained firmly in command to seal a deserved 34-point win.
