Dar braces for Pharmaceutical Production Investment Forum

DAR ES SALAAM: THE Ministry of Health has organised a Tanzania Pharmaceutical Production Investment Forum on January 19, 2026,  a high-level platform aimed at attracting domestic and international investment into the country’s pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.

The forum expects to bring together pharmaceutical investors, manufacturers, development partners and other key stakeholders from the health and investment sectors to explore opportunities for strengthening local production of medicines and health products.

According to information from the Health Ministry, the forum aims to showcase Tanzania’s growing potential as a regional pharmaceutical manufacturing hub, highlighting available investment opportunities.

Additionally, the forum also showcase Tanzania’s, supportive government policies, regulatory frameworks, and market access within the country and the wider East and Southern African region.

It serves as a strategic engagement space for dialogue on investment prospects, policy direction and partnerships that can accelerate the growth of the pharmaceutical industry in the country.

Moreover, the ministry also reaffirmed the government’s commitment to creating a conducive investment environment as well as welcoming partners interested in contributing to sustainable growth of the pharmaceutical sector and improved health outcomes for the region

The forum underscores Tanzania’s openness to collaborate with partners interested in contributing to the sustainable growth of the pharmaceutical sector, with the ultimate goal of improving access to quality medicines and achieving better health outcomes for Tanzania and the wider region.
