DAR ES SALAAM: CRDB Bank has won two awards at the Consumer Choice Awards Africa (CCA) 2024, recognising its efforts in meeting the needs and expectations of its customers across the country.
The awards include Most Preferred Bank in Eastern Africa and Most Creative and Innovative Consumer Benefitting Campaign of the Year.
These awards were based on customer feedback and voting from various stakeholders, highlighting the bank’s exceptional services and innovations.
Deputy Minister of State, Office of the President, Planning and Investment Stanslaus Nyongo, said that the win was a result of the bank’s dedicated efforts to serve the market.
“CRDB efforts are visible in how you serve customers and collaborate with various stakeholders to increase productive innovation,” the Deputy Minister Nyongo said.

CRDB’s Chief Commercial Business Officer, Boma Raballa, said when receiving the awards that customer-centric innovation is the foundation of the lender’s services every day and it is a joy to see the community recognise this.
“We are a bank that listens to the customer…. We believe that if the customer is happy, our business will be sustainable,” Mr Raballa said.
The bank has vast network of over 260 branches and more than 25,000 agents, making services accessible even in remote areas.
The Consumer Choice Awards Africa Founder and CEO, Ms Diana Laizer, said that CRDB is a major participant in these awards and has been a recurring winner.
“Each year, we have CRDB. Customer votes are what bring them victory, based on how satisfied they are with the services provided,” Ms Laizer said.
