DAR ES SALAAM: RULING party CCM’s Secretary for Ideology, Publicity and Training Mr Amoss Makalla, has expressed confidence in a landslide victory in Wednesday’s Local Government Elections, citing the public’s trust in the party.
This trust, he said is based on the government’s impressive development achievements under President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan.
Speaking in Dar es Salaam on Sunday during his ongoing campaign for the upcoming elections, Mr Makalla emphasised that the government’s visible and tangible development projects are a testament to the progress made under President Samia, and they fuel hope for CCM’s victory.
While campaigning in Ukonga Constituency, Mr Makalla detailed the numerous development projects undertaken by the government, asserting that these accomplishments inspire confidence in CCM candidates.
“CCM is proud of the excellent work done by our MPs and councillors. We believe in the party’s success because of the visible contributions of our parliamentarians, councillors and President Samia,” he said.
He further said that CCM members walk proudly in support of their national leader, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, her 4Rs philosophy (Reconciliation, Resilience, Reforms and Rebuilding) and the funds the government she leads allocate for various development initiatives across the country.

Mr Makalla said that under President Samia’s leadership, CCM’s campaign strategy aligns with the principles of the 4Rs philosophy, ensuring that the campaign remains respectful while focusing on the extensive development work the government has accomplished nationwide.
“Everywhere the government has allocated funds, numerous development projects have been implemented. That’s why today, at this meeting, we have the national leader of the TLP (Tanzania Laboure Party) joining us to urge Tanzanians to vote for CCM candidates,” he added.
Mr Makalla criticised the opposition, particularly CHADEMA, which he accused of focusing on protests rather than tangible development.
He argued that while protests may have provided financial gain for the opposition, they have failed to benefit their members or the nation at large.
He reinforced the message that there is every reason for Tanzanians to vote for CCM candidates, noting that the party does not need external assistance because of the solid achievements made by the government under President Samia’s leadership.
Mr Makalla reminded CCM members of the importance of voting in large numbers on Wednesday to ensure that the party’s candidates secure a resounding victory.
