CCM commits to strong leadership through trainings, capacity building

COAST REGION: IN a continued effort to improve performance and improve its contribution to national development, the ruling party CCM has reaffirmed its commitment to equipping leaders at all levels with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver positive change to Tanzanians.

Opening a one-week leadership workshop at Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Leadership School (MJNLS) in Kibaha District, CCM’s Deputy Secretary General (Zanzibar), Dr Mohamed Said Dimwa said the workshop aims at equipping leaders with skills and ability to bring positive changes to the country.

The workshop, themed ‘Leveraging Party Building to Empower Development and Enhance governing position,’ brings together leaders from the party’s youth (UVCCM), women’s (UWT) and parents’ (WAZAZI) wings from both Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.

Dr Dimwa stressed the importance of strong leadership in driving national development, noting that this begins with continuous education and capacity building for current and future leaders.

“Good leadership starts with good education. That’s why we continue to work with partners and stakeholders to ensure our cadres are well-trained in key areas, including politics, social affairs, modern technology and economics issues that are critical to the country’s progress,” he said.

The workshop will also provide a platform for the 132 attending CCM leaders to assess the implementation of the party’s 2020–2025 Election Manifesto and to review and discuss the long-term 2025–2050 Party Vision.
