Caravans beat Pak Stars A by 7 wickets

DAR ES SALAAM: CARAVANS triumphed over Pak Stars A by seven wickets in the Tanzania Cricket Association (TCA) DC Super League 50 Overs 2025 at the Gymkhana ground in Dar es Salaam on Sunday.
Pak Stars A, who won the toss and opted to bat, found themselves in a difficult situation as their innings crumbled under pressure.
The team posted a total of 156 runs in 42.2 overs, with several players unable to make significant contributions.
Openers Ivan Ismail (31 off 32 balls) and Kashif Adnan (15 off 39 balls) showed some promise, but the middle order quickly faltered.
Mohamed Omary, who had been solid earlier, was dismissed cheaply for 2 runs, as Pak Stars A struggled to build partnerships.
Zamoyoni Ramadhani (34 off 37 balls), the standout performer for Pak Stars A, offered resistance, finding the boundaries and rotating the strike efficiently.
However, once he was dismissed, the tail collapsed rapidly. The best bowling performance came from Caravans’ Jitin Pratap Singh, who claimed 3 wickets for just 16 runs in 7.2 overs, while Kassimu Nassoro and Akhil Anil also made significant contributions, with 3 wickets and 2 wickets respectively.

Pak Stars A’s total of 156 was largely due to some tail-end resistance, with extra runs (19) padding up the final score.
In response, Caravans chased down the target of 157 with ease, reaching 159/3 in 27.4 overs. Ajith Kayyalakudi Augastin was the hero with the bat, smashing a brilliant 65 runs off 64 balls, including 9 boundaries, and leading his side to victory. Shabani Hamisi (19 off 31 balls) and Jitin Pratap Singh (17 off 21 balls) also contributed to the solid start, putting Caravans in a commanding position early on.
Pak Stars A tried a variety of bowlers, but none were able to break the Caravans’ chase. Mohammad Ali (1/15) and Ayaz Mustafa (1/12) picked up wickets, but the target proved too small. Caravansโ aggressive approach and Kayyalakudi Augastin’s commanding innings ensured that the chase was completed with minimal fuss, despite a few late setbacks.
