Upanga, Caravans dictate terms in TCA Super League

DAR ES SALAAM: UPANGA SC and Caravans continue to dictate terms in the ongoing Tanzania Cricket Association Super League duels following their today victories at Leaders Club and UDSM grounds.
Upanga SC handed Dar Gymkhana a 9-wicket blitz while Caravans enjoyed a 7-wicket win over Dar Indian Titans at another venue.
In the match that started early this morning in the city, Dar Gymkhana opted to bat first and struggled to register 76 after all 10 batsmen were bowled. They were all out after spending 31 overs out of the allotted 50 overs.
Using 5 overs, Upanga SC bravery chased the score and finished off their opponents with 78 runs, losing a single wicket to end the game with a hefty 9-wicket victory.
Ajay Yadav, Sanjay Bom, and Muhammad Sohail helped Upanga to win the game after each claiming 3 wickets.

The second match that pitted Caravans against Dar Indian Titans was fiercely contested, but in the end, Caravans won by 7 wickets.
Dar Indian Titans opted to bat first and their onslaught earned them 129 runs after all 10 were bowled when they reached 32 overs out of 50 allotted overs.
It took Caravans 18 overs to overcome the Dar India Titans’ score after posting 132 with a loss of 3 wickets and that earned them a 7-wicket victory at the end.
Caravans’ Jitin Pratap Singh and Adersh Dileep were pillars of Caravans’ victory after each claiming 3 wickets.
Also contributed to the team’s win are Jeremiah Lista and Yalinde Maurice, who each claimed a wicket.
Organised by the Tanzania Cricket Association, the Super League is a 50-over tournament whose main venues are UDSM and Leaders Club.
