Azam FC drop two players

Azam have opened exit doors to Shaaban Chilunda and Ahmed Salula wishing the duo best of luck wherever they go.

The two are the latest players to be released by the Chamazi based giants during the ongoing mini-transfer window.

Ibrahim Ajibu was the first to be farewelled at the club as they allegedly reduce the number of players.

Recently, the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdulkarim Amin ‘Popat’ revealed that they are not intending to make new signings during this period.

He also disclosed that they want to trim the current squad to have 28 players as recommended by the technical bench.

The Ice cream makers side face Mbeya City in a New Year Eve match at Azam Complex in the city tomorrow.

It is their 19th round premier league fixtures as each looks forward to stamp victory and welcome 2023 with maximum points in the bag.

Coincidentally, each of them lost their previous league assignments with Azam suffering a 3-2 defeat from Young Africans while Mbeya City went down 2-1 from Tanzania Prisons.
