Azam Coach Taoussi hails team’s performance
DAR ES SALAAM: AZAM FC Head Coach, Rachid Taoussi has expressed satisfaction following his team’s impressive 4-0 win against Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) at KMC Stadium on Thursday evening.
In a post-match interview, Taoussi commended his players for their execution and adaptability to his tactical approach.
“A win belongs to us.
I am pleased with how my players showcased their talent,” he stated.
The coach emphasised the importance of enjoying the game while adhering to instructions, encouraging his players to display their intelligence on the pitch.
The dominant performance not only secured a crucial victory, but also highlighted the step Azam FC made under Taoussi just a week after his arrival at the club.
The emphatic win not only lifted the spirits of Azam’s squad but also illustrated the effectiveness of Taoussi’s training.
“I want to see my players show their smartness on the pitch, how they think and how they execute against our opponents,” he added, smiling with pride.

On the other hand, KMC Head Coach, Abdi Hamid Moallin, congratulated Azam for their impressive performance, but lamented on his team’s lack of rhythm.
“We made too many mistakes, which led to conceding goals.
We will address these errors and come back stronger,” he said, clearly disappointed.
Moallin pointed out that the absence of creativity in his squad hindered them to create chances, allowing Azam to dominate the match.
Midfielder Feisal Salum, who was named Man of the Match after providing two assists and creating three chances, credited his teammates for their collective effort.
“This award is not just mine; it belongs to the team.
Our hard work and determination led to this victory,” he stated.
Feisal also noted that the influence of the new head coach has made adaptation easier, fostering optimism for future matches.
Azam’s next challenge will be against Tanga based Coastal Union, while KMC will aim to bounce back against JKT Tanzania.
Both matches are scheduled for tomorrow.
