Airtel Africa targets 10 million lives by 2030

NIGERIA: AIRTEL Africa Foundation has set its sights on directly transforming the lives of 10 million people across the continent by 2030 through a new strategy anchored on four pillars Financial Empowerment, Education, Environmental Protection and Digital Inclusion (FEED).
Unveiling the vision, Foundation Chairman Dr Segun Ogunsanya said the goal is to build a transformed Africa where millions benefit from targeted empowerment programmes.
“We are not just donating resources, we are building a pipeline of talent and fostering innovation to ensure the global digital revolution leaves no African behind,” he said.
The Foundation’s flagship projects include Connecting Schools, which provides free internet and devices, and the Airtel Africa Fellowship, which offers full STEM scholarships, mentorship and internships.

So far, Airtel Africa Foundation through its partnership with UNICEF has connected more than 1,800 schools, reached over one million students and trained more than 17,000 teachers in 14 countries.
Airtel Africa CEO Mr Sunil Taldar reaffirmed the company’s commitment, noting that inclusive growth is central to Airtel’s mission.
“We cannot thrive in a place that is not thriving. The Foundation is our vehicle to catalyse transformation by investing in the pillars that underpin a resilient and dynamic society,” he said.
