Absa commits to offering products supporting social development 

ABSA Bank has said it is committed to supporting its customers in social and economic development by making easier access to various banking services.

Speaking to its invited customers during the Customer Service Week in Dar es Salaam yesterday, Absa Bank, Finance Director, Obedi Laiser, reassured its customers on the plans to come up with innovative products that suit customers’ needs.

“We want to assure our esteemed customers that we are committed to offering them banking products that will support their efforts in boosting social and economic development,” he said.

The bank core brand is positioning its products by bringing customer possibilities to life and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) proposition in a bid to address the changing needs and growing importance of SME in the country.

“We have revamped our SME proposition, this goes to show how important SME are to the country, and as such important to us at Absa Tanzania,” he noted.

Mr Laiser went on to say that couple of months ago the bank came up with the product VISA debit card that targets businesses in the country whereby debit cards are linked to the business transaction account, aiming to help businesses track and manage operational expenses efficiently and access cost-saving benefits.

“These debit cards are much easier for business people to pay their transactions and records their financial flow digitally and more secure,” he added

Absa’s Head of Customer Services at Mikocheni Branch said that the customer service week is the right platform for the bank management to look at their services and listen to their customers’ needs with the goal of improving the banking services.

She said that the bank will continue improving its banking products and expanding its services across the country with the main aim of satisfying the customers.
