Tanzania, Ghana geoscientists explore collaboration
ACCRA: The Tanzania Geological Society (TGS) and Ghana Institution of Geoscientists (GhIG) have met and held talks to discuss potential collaboration in areas regarding geoscientist development in the two countries.
The talks, held on September 02, 2026, in Accra, Ghana, featured TGS Deputy General Secretary, Mr Ebeneza Mollel, and GhIG President, Mr Crisler Ankrah, among others.
In the meeting, the parties shared experiences on running geoscientist bodies and identified areas for collaboration for the advancement of the geoscience profession in both countries.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr Ebeneza stressed the importance of collaboration between Tanzanian and Ghanaian geoscientists and how the two parties can benefit from such collaboration.
“Tanzania and Ghana have had a long-standing relationship since the period of anticolonial struggles. More importantly, both countries have erudite and experienced geoscientists, not to mention their richness in geology” explained Ebeneza.

He said that establishing ties between the two will not only enable them to share experiences but also strategize on how to enhance the geoscience profession in both countries.
For his part, Mr. Ankrah stated that the discussion had taken place at an opportune time and emphasized that, given the potential benefits of the proposed collaboration, both parties should work closely to expedite its formalization.
“As our founding father, Kwame Nkrumah, once said; we must unite or perish, Geoscience professionals in Tanzania, Ghana, and beyond must unite to advance and safeguard the interests and integrity of our profession.” added Mr Ankrah.
Episode 1 — “The Voice”
A young radio producer working late at night hears a mysterious voice coming through an old recording. The voice warns her not to let someone be buried and gives her a strange room number. Soon, she begins seeing the spirit of a teenage girl who disappeared many years ago. The spirit asks for help and warns her that someone is listening.

Episode 2 — “The Missing Girl”
The young woman and her childhood friend begin investigating the disappearance of the teenage girl. Their investigation leads them to an abandoned house connected to several unexplained disappearances. The spirit continues appearing and seems to know secrets about the young woman’s family.

Episode 3 — “The House”
The young woman confronts her aunt but receives no answers. She secretly enters the abandoned house and begins hearing dozens of dead people calling for help. In the basement, she discovers old recordings containing the names of people who disappeared or died.
She then discovers a recording with her own name.

Episode 4 — “The Message”
Frightened by what is happening, the young woman seeks professional help. During a session, the psychologist discovers that he can hear one of the mysterious voices too. He reveals that he experienced communication with the dead when he was young.
He warns her never to answer when the dead call her name.

Episode 5 — “The Other Side”
The young woman begins having visions of a mysterious world between life and death. There she encounters a strange man who claims to be trapped between the two worlds.
He tells her that she has misunderstood her ability: she isn’t simply hearing the dead—the dead are somehow able to hear her.
Her aunt finally reveals that her mother once possessed the same ability.

Episode 6 — “The Door”
She discovers that The Door is a supernatural boundary between the living and the dead. Her mother crossed it years ago while trying to stop something from entering the human world.
Meanwhile, her friend investigates her mother’s death and discovers that important evidence was deliberately hidden.
The mysterious man becomes increasingly suspicious.

Episode 7 — “The Stranger”
The truth about the mysterious man begins to emerge. He has been trapped between life and death for years and has secretly been helping a powerful supernatural entity.
The spirit of the missing girl accuses him of being responsible for her death.
The young woman realizes she may have trusted the wrong person.

Episode 8 — “The Dead Speak”
The supernatural disturbances spread throughout the city. People begin receiving phone calls from dead relatives. Voices come through radios and televisions. Families hear deceased loved ones calling from empty rooms.
The young woman realizes that The Door is beginning to open.
Her aunt finally reveals the biggest secret: her mother didn’t die while trying to close The Door.
She entered it willingly.

Episode 9 — “The Crossing”
Determined to find her mother, the young woman enters the supernatural world. Her friend follows her.
Inside, they encounter people they once loved, but many of them are illusions created by the supernatural entity. They discover that the entity feeds on human grief and uses people’s desire to communicate with the dead to gain power.
Finally, they find the young woman’s mother.

Episode 10 — “The Last Voice”
The Door is almost completely open, and the supernatural entity is preparing to enter the world of the living.
The young woman’s mother tells her that she must let her go and close The Door.
The mysterious man sacrifices himself to stop the entity long enough for her to escape.
She finally closes The Door, separating the living from the dead.
Months later, everything appears normal.
Then the radio microphone suddenly turns on.
A woman’s voice whispers her name.
She says she cannot hear anything.
The voice answers:
“Because I’m not dead
