Pilgrims praise Tanzania–Saudi Arabia relations

DAR ES SALAAM: THE existence of peace, stability, and cooperation between Tanzania and Saudi Arabia has brought significant benefits, including enabling Muslims to perform the Hajj pilgrimage in Mecca, which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
This was stated by Said Njuki, a pilgrim, at Julius Nyerere International Airport upon his return from Hajj. He noted that Muslims travel to the holy sites because they are sacred places unlike any other in the world.
“First, we thank Almighty God for allowing us to travel safely for Hajj and return safely. We also thank our country, Tanzania, for maintaining peace and stability. If there had been internal conflict or war, we would not have been able to perform Hajj. We also appreciate all institutions involved in facilitating pilgrims, including the organization Manasik Hajj and Umrah.
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam. Among the five pillars, Hajj is an obligation for those who are financially and physically able. It strengthens our faith as Muslims and helps us develop a firm belief and hope of attaining paradise,” said Njuki.
Meanwhile, Ramadhani Issa Hassani from Manasik Hajj and Umrah and Athumani Lusewa emphasized that anyone who has the financial means and physical ability should perform Hajj, as it is one of the five pillars of Islam.
