Dr Mwinyi described international conferences as strategic platforms for promoting Zanzibar globally, particularly in boosting tourism, noting that participants often become long-term ambassadors for the destination in their respective countries.

“The hosting of such high-level meetings presents a valuable opportunity to market Zanzibar and strengthen the tourism sector,” he said.

Additionally, he commended the association for selecting Zanzibar as the host and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing the necessary support to ensure the success of the conference.
