It’s heartfelt as 1,000 children enjoy Mama Samia Orphans Eid Day Out

DAR ES SAAAM: MUSLIMS have been encouraged to continue practicing the good values they embraced during the holy month of Ramadan by maintaining righteous behavior and avoiding wrongdoing in their daily lives.

The call was made today, March 22, 2026, by Dar es Salaam Regional Chief Sheikh, Walid Alhad Omari, who was the guest of honor at a special event for orphans and children with special needs known as the “Mama Samia Orphans Eid Day Out.” The event took place at the Lugalo Golf Grounds in Dar es Salaam.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Omari emphasized that Ramadan serves as an important reminder for Muslims on how to live a good and moral life.

“Muslims should live the same way they do during the holy month of Ramadan. It is a time that teaches us to do good and avoid evil,” he said.

He also stressed the importance of helping one another, forgiving each other, and continuing acts of worship both day and night, as practiced during Ramadan.

In addition, Sheikh Omari commended Chocolate Princess Company for organizing the event, noting that it sets a good example in caring for and supporting children with special needs, especially orphans.

On her part, the Director of Chocolate Princess Limited, Mboni Masimba, said the company has long been involved in supporting orphaned children. She explained that the event was inspired by her experience in organizing iftar (breaking of the fast) activities.

Masimba added that the event brought together more than 1,000 children from 13 different centers, intending to bring them joy and strengthen their faith.

She also encouraged the children to respect their guardians, noting that respect and obedience would help them receive blessings and succeed in life, alongside maintaining their religious practices.
