Berlin Fair envoys tasked to heighten Tanzania’s visibility in global tourism

BERLIN: The Tanzanian Ambassador to Berlin, Germany, Hassani Mwamweta, met with Tanzanian participants at the ITB Berlin International Tourism Fair to coordinate effective participation and enhance Tanzania’s visibility in the global tourism market.

During ITB Berlin 2026, Tanzania has expanded its participation, with more than 70 tourism companies from the country taking part in the exhibition. In total, over 169 delegates from both the public and private sectors are representing Tanzania in efforts to promote the country as a leading tourist destination worldwide.

Germany and the broader European market remain among Tanzania’s key tourism source markets. Participation in the global tourism fair is therefore aimed at strengthening commercial partnerships, attracting more international visitors, and increasing investment in Tanzania’s tourism sector.
