Esperance Tunis supporters sing praises of SGR service

DAR ES SALAAM: SUPPORTERS of Esperance de Tunis Football Club from Tunisia have expressed their satisfaction with the services of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), saying it enabled them to travel with ease while enjoying tourism in Tanzania.
Speaking shortly after arriving at the Magufuli SGR Station in Dar es Salaam from Morogoro Region, Esperance de Tunis supporter Aziz Hatur, on behalf of his fellow supporters, said their journey aboard the SGR to visit Mikumi National Park was safe, enjoyable, and marked by high-quality services.
Aziz said the group made two trips using the SGR: the first on January 30, 2026, when they travelled to Morogoro, and the second on January 31, 2026, when they returned to Dar es Salaam. He noted that both journeys were conducted to a high standard and were highly successful.
He added that the tourism trip enabled them to visit tourist attractions within a short time while enjoying the high standard of services provided by the Tanzania Railways Corporation (TRC), emphasizing that he personally, together with the entire group of supporters, greatly enjoyed the experience.

Based on this experience, Aziz encouraged Tanzanians and foreign visitors to use SGR services, describing them as a safe and reliable mode of transport, especially for tourism-related travel.
The Esperance de Tunis supporters took advantage of their stay in the country to visit tourist attractions while waiting for their team’s CAF Champions League return match against Simba at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam on February 1, 2026..
The remarks by the supporters continue to demonstrate the contribution of the SGR in strengthening the transport sector and promoting tourism, in line with the Sixth Phase Government’s efforts to invest in modern infrastructure aimed at boosting the national economy.
