TRA launches IDRAS, a system for taxpayers in Dodoma

DODOMA: THE Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) has officially launched training on the Integrated Domestic Revenue Administration System (IDRAS) for taxpayers in Dodoma Region, as part of its efforts to improve tax service delivery through the use of modern technology.
The launch of the training took place today, January 29, 2026, in Dodoma City, and was officiated by the Deputy Commissioner General of the Tanzania Revenue Authority, Mcha Hassan Mcha, who said the initiative is part of TRA’s continued commitment to strengthening digital systems in tax administration.
Speaking at the launch, Mcha said the IDRAS system has brought significant transformation to tax service delivery by simplifying direct communication between taxpayers and TRA, improving access to tax information, and enabling more efficient and user-friendly service provision.
He explained that the training aims to equip taxpayers with a clear understanding of how to use the IDRAS system, enhance transparency, efficiency, and security in tax administration, as well as build trust and encourage voluntary tax compliance.
Additionally, the Deputy Commissioner General commended taxpayers in Dodoma Region for their positive response and active participation in the training, emphasizing that cooperation between TRA and taxpayers is a key pillar in improving tax services and accelerating national development.
