CCM promises better services provision

MBEYA: CCM presidential running mate, Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi, has called on Tanzanians to cast their votes for President Samia Suluhu Hassan in Wednesday’s election.
According to Dr Nchimbi, Dr Samia’s transformative leadership and significant achievements recorded in the past four and a half years is vivid evidence for giving CCM another five-year term.
Addressing a campaign rally on Thursday in Kyela, Mbeya, Dr Nchimbi said that electing President Samia would ensure the continuation of effective service delivery and sustainable development across the country.
Dr Nchimbi insisted that under President Samia’s leadership, the implementation of the CCM election manifesto has brought tangible improvements in key sectors including agriculture, infrastructure, education, health and the economy at large.
He said in Mbeya Region alone, subsidised fertiliser supply increased from 52,409 tonnes to 61,570 tonnes over the past five years, significantly reducing production costs and boosting yields for farmers.
“In Kyela, where over 75 per cent of residents engage in farming and more than 10 per cent in fishing, policies aimed at improving productivity and value addition are critical and that is exactly what President Samia’s administration has been delivering,” he said.

On healthcare, Dr Nchimbi noted that every district council in the country now has at least one hospital, a stark contrast to previous years when many areas lacked such vital services.
In education, he praised President Samia for spearheading the construction of classrooms, laboratories, dormitories and other infrastructure to reduce overcrowding and improve access to quality learning in both primary and secondary schools.
Dr Nchimbi also applauded President Samia’s leadership in maintaining peace and unity in the country, noting that Tanzania has earned greater respect regionally and globally under her administration.
“We are a peaceful, united country with strong international standing, all thanks to President Samia’s visionary leadership,” he said.
Dr Nchimbi unveiled several pledges for Kyela District over the next five years should CCM secure victory, including constructing four new health centres, seven dispensaries and 11 staff houses.
He also pledged that CCM will establish a nursing college in Kyela, drill 110 deep boreholes to raise water access from 60 per cent to 85 per cent, upgrade over eight roads to tarmac standards, including the 90-kilometre from Songwe to Ileje road.
He also pledged the development of six roads to concrete standard and construction of a modern agricultural market, a specialised fish market with cold storage facilities and storage warehouses to enhance local economic activities.
CCM’s Kyela parliamentary candidate, Baraka Mwamengo, said the people of Kyela will make their choice on October 29 based on the government’s outstanding development record. He cited key projects such as the 5bn/- mother-and-child building, now nearing completion and 12.4bn/- worth of ongoing water projects, as proof of the government’s commitment to community well-being.
“These infrastructure projects have strengthened public confidence and increased the people’s motivation to re-elect CCM to maintain the pace of progress,” Mwamengo said.
