Kenya’s Interior PS urges calm during Raila Odinga’s mourning Period

KISUMU: KENYA’s Principal Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and National Administration, Raymond Omollo, has called on residents of Kisumu and Kenyans at large to maintain peace and calm during the mourning period of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.

Speaking to journalists at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu during the public viewing of Odinga’s body, Omollo commended the unity and tranquility shown by Kenyans and urged that the same spirit be upheld even after the mourning events.

He further assured that the government will ensure as many citizens as possible get the opportunity to pay their last respects to the veteran politician.

The farewell ceremony for the late Odinga has drawn thousands of mourners from across Kenya and beyond.
