PS urges ministry staff to uphold discipline, teamwork

PERMANENT Secretary in the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, Dr John Jingu, has urged ministry staff to foster unity, mutual respect and collaboration as a key to improving efficiency and delivering better services to the public.
Dr Jingu made the remarks during a staff meeting held over the weekend at the Ministry offices in Mtumba Government City, Dodoma.
He emphasised that all employees, regardless of rank, have an equal role in achieving the ministry’s mission of em- powering citizens and improvng community welfare.
“There is no employee superior to another. We must build a culture of love, respect and appreciation for one another because we all serve the same purpose,” he stated, call- ing on staff to strengthen team- work across all departments and units.
He further stressed the importance of discipline, dili- gence and proactive engage- ment in fulfilling government programmes. “When every officer per- forms their duties efficiently, the ministry will succeed in delivering quality services to the people,” Dr Jingu said.
The Permanent Secretary also encouraged employees to continuously upgrade their skills and embrace technology to improve productivity and foster innovation at the work- place.
Echoing his remarks, Deputy Permanent Secretary responsible for Gender, Ms Fe- lister Mdemu, said collaboration between leaders and staff is essential to achieving results and implementing government policies effectively.
She added that collective effort and open communication would enhance operational efficiency and service delivery across the ministry.
Some staff members ex- pressed appreciation for the improved working environ- ment, citing the new ministry building at Mtumba as a morale booster that facilitates better performance.
“The upgraded facilities, coupled with clear guidance from leadership, have motivat- ed us to work harder and deliver quality services to the public,” said one staff member.
