200 African envoys underway to heighten the Kidpreneur Summit in Dar

DAR ES SALAAM: DAR ES SALAAM is poised to become the heartbeat of youth innovation this August, as over 200 young entrepreneurs and mentors from 11 African nations gather for the Africa Kid preneur Summit 2025, scheduled from August 15–17 this year.
Tanzania proudly becomes the third country to host this transformative summit, following Kenya and Botswana, marking a significant milestone in the continent’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of change makers.
Co-hosted by Tanzania Youth Entrepreneurship Experience (TYEE), the summit’s mission is clear: to empower young minds with the skills, tools, and mentorship needed to build sustainable solutions for Africa’s future.
Speaking to the Daily News, the summit’s Convener, Ambassador Juliet Obi, emphasized the urgency and potential of youth-led innovation.
“Tanzania has a vibrant youth population bursting with ideas. Hosting the summit here will amplify the country’s entrepreneurial energy and position it as a rising hub for business innovation,” she said.
She added that this year’s summit introduces new experiences designed to ignite curiosity and future-focused thinking, including a hands-on Artificial Intelligence workshop, where participants will explore real-world applications of emerging technologies.
“Our theme this year—Empowering Young Minds, Transforming Africa’s Future—reflects our belief that entrepreneurship is not just a career path, but a tool for solving community and continental challenges,” she noted.
