Yonazi stresses commitment among PMO staff

DODOMA: PERMANENT Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament and Coordination), Dr Jim Yonazi has urged the ministry staff to demonstrate greater commitment, discipline and professionalism in their daily duties to serve the nation effectively.

Dr Yonazi made the remarks recently while opening a staff meeting in Dodoma, insisting on the importance of teamwork, creativity and maintaining high performance standards, especially given the office’s critical role in serving millions of Tanzanians.

“When we work together, we build a collective strength that no challenge can overcome. I urge all of you to continue working hard with unity of purpose. Remember, every contribution you make is essential to achieving both our office’s and national goals,” he emphasised.

He added that in the 2025/2026 financial year, the Prime Minister’s Office will focus on improving the working environment and employee welfare. The office will also foster innovation, strengthen performance monitoring and ensure accountability among all staff.

During the session, experts from UTT Asset Management and Investor Services Plc educated employees on investment opportunities and stressed on the importance of long-term financial planning.

Staff members also received training on public service ethics and healthcare awareness, focusing on hepatitis prevention and noncommunicable diseases.
