DAR ES SALAAM: VODACOM Tanzania PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting education in the country by partnering with the Rotary Club of DSM Oyster Bay for the 2024 Goat Races, continuing a successful collaboration from last year.
At a media briefing in Dar es Salaam, Head of Media Relations at Vodacom, Annette Kanora, highlighted the company’s dedication to using innovative approaches to support socio-economic activities in Tanzanian communities.
Encouraged by the positive impact of the 2023 Goat Races, Vodacom has decided to sponsor the charity event for a second consecutive year.
“Aligned with our mission of connecting for good, Vodacom is committed to empowering communities beyond our internal initiatives by partnering with organisations that share our vision.
Education remains a key focus for us and by supporting the Rotary Club of DSM Oyster Bay, we aim to enhance learning environments, provide scholarships to underprivileged students and improve WASH facilities in schools,” Kanora explained.
She added, “We believe in the power of collaboration to address societal challenges and achieve developmental goals. We invite more partners to join us in making this year’s event a success and, more importantly, to help support more underprivileged students.”
