Tanzania awards Simbu for promoting the nation’s image on the global stage

DAR ES SALAAM: ALPHONCE Simbu has been honored with the Athlete Recognition Award for his outstanding contribution to promoting Tanzania’s national image on the international stage.

The celebrated long-distance runner received the award in recognition of his achievements and dedication in representing the country through sports.

The award ceremony was organized by Business Registrations and Licensing Agency (BRELA), bringing together government officials, sports stakeholders, and invited guests to celebrate individuals who have contributed positively to Tanzania’s reputation worldwide.

Speaking during the event, Judith Kapinga praised all athletes including Simbu for commitment, discipline, and remarkable performances in international competitions.

She noted that his success has helped raise Tanzania’s profile globally and inspired many young athletes across the country.
