Zanzibar’s First Lady to grace Youth Business, Investment Expo 2025
ZANZIBAR: ZANZIBAR’s First Lady, Mariam Mwinyi, is expected to officiate the opening of the East Africa Youth Business & Investment Expo 2025, scheduled to take place from August 9 to 11, 2025, at the State University of Zanzibar (SUZA) grounds in Tunguu.
The expo is organized by the Global Youth Empowerment Institute (GYEI) in collaboration with Perya Limited to promote youth entrepreneurship, unlock new investment opportunities, and connect young people from across East Africa with key stakeholders from various development sectors.
Speaking to the press, GYEI Director Amina Sanga announced that Mariam Mwinyi will officially open the window of opportunities for young people, investors, business owners, and institutions from all corners of East Africa.

Running alongside the expo will be a high-level business and investment forum, scheduled for August 10 and 11, 2025, at the Dk. Mohamed Shein Hall in Zanzibar.
The forum is expected to bring together approximately 2,000 participants from within and outside the region, including government officials, private sector leaders, major investors, financial institutions, entrepreneurs, and innovative youth.
