Young Africans striker Mayele signs new two-year deal

Young Africans top striker Fiston Mayele has prolonged his stay at the club until 2024.

Before signing the deal, the DRC national was linked to some clubs but now the Jangwani based club fans have been assured that the ‘Predator’ will stay and the club extra two years.

“Wananchi, I’m still at Yanga,” the striker said in a short video clip shared by the defending Mainland champions.

He has so far scored two goals this season in the NBC Premier League with his latest netting against Coastal Union in their 2-0 triumph at Sheikh Amri Abeid Stadium in Arusha.

The goal was his second consecutive after doing so when they faced Polisi Tanzania at the same venue in their league opener.

However, it still remain a puzzle if the DR Congo import net-burster will find the back of the net when Yanga host Azam at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in the city on Tuesday.

With the return of speedy winger Tuisila Kisanda, pundits have forecasted Mayele as one of the main contenders of the golden boot at the end of the campaign.
