IVORY COAST: Young Africans midfielder Pacome Zouzoua has earned a call-up to his national team, Ivory Coast.

According to the Ivorian Football Federation (IFF), Pacome replaces Ibrahim Sangare, who is injured.

During the FIFA break, the Elephants will play two friendly matches against Benin and Uruguay on March 23 and March 26, respectively, this year.

It is not clear if Pacome will be able to play for his national team since he picked up an injury in the Premier League match against Azam FC.

In the Premier League, Pacome has so far netted seven goals, and he is the second top scorer in the CAF Champions League with four goals.

Pacome Zouzoua was first included in the initial squad of 53 players prepared for AFCON 2023, but former Ivory Coast manager Jean-Louis Gasset omitted him from the tournament.
