The newly appointed Young Africans Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Andre Mtine has pledged to work hard in order to help the club attain success both within and outside the country.
Speaking at a press briefing in Dar es Salaam today, the Zambian football administrator insisted that he has been in football industry for a long time as such, he is going to use his experience to drive Yanga forward.
“I believe that by working together with president Hersi Said and Executive Committee (EXCOM) members, we will achieve a lot for the benefit of the club,” he says.
Again, Mtine has paid tribute to Yanga passionate fans saying he is aware that the club has big fan base across the country hence he is looking ahead to work with them.
“It is an honour to work as CEO at this club which has tremendous history and is a big club which grew from nothing to something,” he says.
However, in his introductory remarks, Yanga president Hersi disclosed that the new CEO has inked a two-year deal to work at the club.
“He has vast experience and has worked in different positions at club level as well as CAF and that is what we believe will help us to reach at the set-up goals,” says Hersi.
